Pre-requisite: Participants must be at least 11 years old and can swim 25 metres comfortably. They must have good physical health and be able to tread water for 2 minutes.

Skills Developed: Identifying swimmer types, performing reaching rescues, and throwing buoyant aids.
Course Requirement: Swim 100 metres using any recognised stroke.
Lifesaving 2 Award
Pre-requisite: Completion of Lifesaving 1
Focus: Building on preliminary skills with emphasis on resuscitation and emergency rescues.
Skills Developed: Mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, rope rescue, and towing uncooperative casualties.
